The majority of the images it contains are black and white aerial photographs which provide a unique perspective from which to view the evolution of society in New Zealand.

Large negatives yield great detail in purchased images

The photographs are the work of V.C. Browne (Victor) and his son W.K. Browne (Bill).
Although most photographs are focused upon the New Zealand South Island , and the Canterbury region in particular, the collection also covers most New Zealand cities and towns.

The VCBrowne.com website includes historical aerial photographs of New Zealand (NZ), Canterbury, Southland, Westland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Westport, Greymouth, Hokitika, Nelson, Kaikoura, North Island, South Island, Wellington, Auckland, Wanganui, Hamilton, Gisbourne, Whangarei and other NZ locations
